Recently, a new type of archival paper, which can be stored for a long period of time, is a durable, acid-free official document and special paper for file series. It was successfully developed by Shandong Sun Paper Industry Group. This new result will be beneficial to the long-term preservation of archives and books in China. 

At present, there are a large number of papers and books at home and abroad that are seriously aged and even self-destructive and can no longer be used. Studies have shown that this is mainly due to the acidity of paper. organic synthesis，The development of neutral paper for office and publishing departments will greatly increase the longevity of archives and books, maximize the preservation of archives and books, and have profound implications for the protection of human culture. At the same time, it will also produce significant economic benefits. In January 1999, the China Archives Research Institute, the Shandong Provincial Archives Bureau, and the Shandong Sun Paper Group organized experts and technicians to form a technical task force to develop a durable series of official documents. In order to complete this research project, the experts and technical personnel of the research group consulted a large amount of domestic and foreign data, visited several archives, listened to the opinions and suggestions of the relevant experts' file management personnel, and formulated the development plan after multi-arguments and iterations. The test was successfully developed in recent days and passed national certification.
The new product fiber raw materials use all wood pulp, change the traditional process, use neutral sizing, the paper produced is suitable for long-term preservation, and has a good stiffness, high tearing degree and folding degree, bright and bright colors, smooth appearance, Features such as stable performance, various indicators meet the requirements of relevant regulations, and the ratio of performance to price is good, reaching the advanced level of similar international products.
